  • New Mexico: Sweeping Gun Control Bill to Be Heard Tomorrow!
    Tomorrow, the New Mexico House Judiciary Committee will hear the omnibus gun control package that would severely undermine the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding New Mexicans and threaten the viability of local firearm retailers. With the session nearing sine die, it's critical that NRA members and Second Amendment supporters contact their lawmakers and urge their opposition to this extreme measure. Please use the Take Action link and contact the phone numbers listed below to urge committee members to oppose SB 17.  
  • Washington: Mandatory Storage Bill Available for Floor Vote
    House Bill 1152, a mandatory "one size fits all" storage requirement, is on second reading on the House floor and could be voted on as early as this evening. 
  • Colorado: Multiple Hearings in House Judiciary Next Week
    Next week, the House Judiciary Committee will hold several hearings on firearm legislation; one on Tuesday, February 17th, and one on Wednesday, February 18th.
  • New Mexico: Gun-Free Zone Expansion Threatens Lawful Carry
    Anti-gun lawmakers in Santa Fe are advancing Senate Bill 261, legislation that would expand firearm prohibitions around voting locations and ballot drop boxes across New Mexico. Please contact members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and respectfully urge them to oppose Senate Bill 261.    
  • Virginia: Committee Hearing on Statewide Carry Ban This Friday
    On Friday, February 13th, the House Public Safety committee will hold a hearing on House Bill 1524, jeopardizing concealed and open carry.
  • New Mexico: Sweeping Gun Control Bill Passes House Committee!
    Last night, the New Mexico House Commerce & Economic Development Committee passed the omnibus gun control package despite the testimony of FFLs, competitive shooters, and citizenry concerned with their self-defense. SB 17 now moves to the House Judiciary Committee where the bill could come up on very short notice. With 8 days remaining in the session, it's critical that NRA members and Second Amendment supporters stay engaged. Please use the Take Action button below to contact members of the House Judiciary Committee and urge their opposition to SB 17!  
  • Alaska: Senate Committee Hearing on Hardware Ban Tomorrow
    Tomorrow, February 12th, the Senate State Affairs Committee will hold a hearing on Senate Bill 203, a broadly written bill banning certain firearm parts restrictions beyond existing federal law. The hearing will begin at 1:30pm local time, and your NRA will be testifying in opposition.
