Rooms: Only a few rooms are available for the nights of January 26 & 27 at the Ramada. There are several other motels in the area, but make reservations early as UND Hockey is in town this weekend and motels are filling fast.

Roy has been involved in Competitive Shooting since 1978. Roy was a member of the McConnell Air Force Base (SAC) Rifle and Pistol Team from 1978-1981. From 1981-1987, Roy competed as an Individual in various Rifle and Pistol Competitions earning Excellence-In-Competition (EIC) points in both, Rifle in 1984 and Pistol in 1985. Roy was selected to the USAF High Power Rifle Team in 1987 and competed in the Inter Service Championships at Quantico USMC base as well as the National Championships at Camp Perry, OH. More recently Roy has been involved with fund raising for the Georgia Youth Shooting Sports Foundation (GYSSF). The mission of the GYSSF is to teach the safe and responsible handling and use of firearms and archery equipment; provide a supportive environment for teaching life lessons and skills emphasize positive character traits and citizenship values; and introduce shooters to a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime, offers a level playing field and one that offers all family members an opportunity to play.
Hall of Fame Nomination
Jim Shulind has been actively involved in the Shooting Sports since 1977. In 1977 Jim, along with a lot of other hunters and shooters answered the call from the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to become volunteers for the new Hunter Education Program. Jim is an avid hunter and shooter with a passion for trap, skeet and sporting clays. For years Jim has been involved in the Grand Forks Park District trap shooting program. He has been responsible for organizing and instructing thousands of young shooters to shoot shotgun in Grand Forks. With the growth of high school trap shooting in North Dakota, Jim was there to take on another challenge. Jim is the coach for the Grand Forks Central High School trap shooting program. Jim has taken the Central High School team to the Trap National Championships in Sparta, Illinois. Jim’s Grand Forks team placed first in their division in 2016 at the nationals. In 2017, the Grand Forks team placed 2nd overall, and the top junior shooter was a shooter from Jim’s team.
