The North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA) is proud to present the "Shooting Stars." Their individual contributions vary from stalwart support of junior shooting programs, local clubs, range development, legislative intervention, mentoring of other shooters, and the back bone of the North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA). The North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame located at the Jamestown, ND Civic Center has these enshrined as outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen, as North Dakota's finest.

Nomination: Nomination can be made by any individual member or club of the North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA). All nominations must be submitted in writing to the North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA) board by September 1. All nominations must include information stating the accomplishments and qualities of the nominee explaining why the nominee should be selected for the Hall of Fame.
Selection Process: The accomplishments of the nominees will be reviewed by the North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA) board at the 3rd quarterly meeting held after September 1. If there is a Quorum present a vote will be taken. For a nominee to be selected they must receive a 75% majority. If the board decides it needs to gather additional information, the president will within one month cast a vote to the full board by email or call a special meeting.
Selection Criteria: The individual must have clearly demonstrated outstanding performance in more than one of the following fields for a cumulative of over 20 years.
Sustained membership in the National Rifle Association (NRA) or North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA) for a minimum of 20 years.
Served as an officer of North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA).
Served as an officer in a local club
Served as an officer of the National Rifle Association (NRA)
Served as a youth marksmanship leader or coach for ten years.
Served as an official referee or coach for the National Rifle Association (NRA) or USA shooting
Has been a national champion trophy winner as documented by the National Rifle Association (NRA), Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) or USA shooting.
Is distinguished in rifle or pistol as recognized by the National Rifle Association (NRA) or military service.
Has established national records as documented by the National Rifle Association (NRA), Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) or USA shooting.
Has established state records or been a state champion as documented by the North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA).
Has received special awards form other organizations in recognition of promoting the shooting sports or their shooting accomplishments.
Any other extraordinary accomplishment or service to the benefit of the shooting sports and its competitors.
Selected Hall of Fame members must provide North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA) with an 5"x7" black and white photo. Individuals or clubs nominating an individual are responsible for producing a page for the hall of Fame book.
The North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA) will have a plaque made to hang in the Hall of Fame currently located at the Jamestown civic center. A plaque for the nominee to keep will be provided by North Dakota Shooting Sports Association (NDSSA).
