2016 NORTH DAKOTA
LONG RANGE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
MATCH DATE: Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, 2016
LOCATION: Fried Family Marksmanship Complex, 13839 262 St SE, Moffit, ND, 58560, Located 3 miles West of Moffit, North Dakota (on Moffit Road), then South 1.75 miles on County Road 262 Street SE.

OPEN TO: This match is open to anyone. However in order to be eligible for the North Dakota Long Range State Championship competitors must be a RESIDENT OF NORTH DAKOTA AND A MEMBER OF THE NORTH DAKOTA SHOOTING SPORTS ASSOCIATION (in accordance with the bylaws of the North Dakota Shooting Sports Association). Applications will be available at the match.

ENTRIES: Entries should be made at least 7 days preceding the firing date. Late entries may be accepted to the range capacity. Entries are limited to 56 competitors. Entries should be mailed to above address.
MATCH FEES: Package Fee $40.00 $30.00
State Championship Only (Sunday) $30.00 $20.00
Palma Only (Saturday only) $20.00 $15.00
Mail your entry to Tom Thompson at the above address. Checks should be made payable to Bismarck/Mandan Rifle and Pistol Association (BMRPA). A $5.50 fee to NRA is included in these entry fees.
RULES: Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules will govern.
TARGETS: NRA - No. LR and F-Class
Awards: North Dakota Resident State Champion – "The Nesja Trophy". There will be cash and/or award points for each class and category provided there are at least 5 shooters per class/category. Match winners from other states will be recognized with appropriate awards.
Rifle: Any Rifle (Rule 3.2), NRA Match Rifle (Rule 3.3), Palma (Rule 3.3.3) or the Service Rifle (Rule 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2). There will also be a separate F-Open and F-Target Rifle Long Range Championships available: Any rifle, any sight, any reasonable support such as sand bags, bipods, tripods, etc. Caliber limited to less than or equal to 0.33; rifle fired from the shoulder; no "rail guns", no return to battery guns, etc; no muzzle brakes. Classification: The NRA Classification System will be used. Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master Class. Scores from a Temporary Score Record Book to establish a classification is acceptable.

Saturday, June 11th, Firing will commence at 10:00am – PALMA MATCH
MATCH #1: Individual Palma Match - Unlimited sighting shots and 15 shots for record in a time limit of 22 minutes at 800 yards, 2 sighting shots and 15 shots for record in a time limit of 22 minutes at 900 and 1000 yards. Palma Rifle, NRA Match Rifle, Service Rifle, Any Rifle/Any sights or F-Open and F-TR classes.
Sunday, June 12th, Firing will commence at 9:00am – North Dakota Long Range State Championship
MATCH #2: 1,000 YARDS -Prone - Unlimited sighting shots, 20 shots for record, time limit of 30 minutes. Any Rifle/Any sights, NRA match Rifle, Service Rifle or Palma Rifle, or F-Open and F-TR classes.
MATCH #3: 1,000 YARDS -Prone - Unlimited sighting shots, 20 shots for record, time limit of 30 minutes. Any Rifle/Any sights, NRA match Rifle, Service Rifle or Palma Rifle, or F-Open and F-TR classes.
MATCH #4: 1,000 YARDS -Prone - Unlimited sighting shots, 20 shots for record, time limit of 30 minutes. Any Rifle/Iron sights, NRA match Rifle, Service Rifle or Palma Rifle, or F-Open and F-TR classes.
MATCH #5: 1,000 YARDS -Prone - Unlimited sighting shots, 20 shots for record, time limit of 30 minutes. Any Rifle/Iron sights, NRA match Rifle, Service Rifle or Palma Rifle, or F-Open and F-TR classes.
MATCH #6: The North Dakota Long Range State Championship – "The NESJA TROPHY" - An aggregate of Matches 2, 3, 4, and 5.
CHALLENGES: The challenge fee will be $1.00 per challenge.
RANGE FACILITIES and CAMPING: Free camping is allowed on the range. Water and outhouse available. Bring your own lunch. Please contact Tom Thompson (701-220-4601) by June 6 if you wish to camp on the range.

The outdoor range features a 1,000 yard High Power rifle range with 34 firing points, rifle and handgun silhouette ranges, cowboy action area, an 18 point bullseye pistol range, 11 concrete benchrests with target backboards at 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards, indoor storage, picnic shelter, outdoor restroom and a clubhouse/classroom facility.
Construction was made possible through grants from various groups that support shooting sports in our area and the hard work of our volunteer club laborers. We express our sincere thanks to these groups and invite them to visit the range and see what they have helped to build.
