The Winter 2011-2012 Air Gun Postal League Match
Match Schedule We will offer six monthly matches during the months of November through April. Upon receiving your registration, we will mail your match targets.
Targets should be returned to Rick & Connie Jorgenson, 4931 81st Ave. NE,
Devils Lake, ND 58301-9634 by the last day of each month for which they are shot. Please initial the back of each target to be returned for scoring. You may return them earlier, if you so desire.
Course of Fire NRA Air Rifle & Pistol rules apply, and all firing is to be done from the standing position at targets positioned 33 feet distant from the shooter.
The rifle competitors will fire one shot per bullseye at the 10-bull rifle target, and the pistol competitors will shoot 5 shots per target at the pistol target.
We will continue to allow each competitor to operate on an honor system. We ask that you be particular in that you comply with the time limits and position requirements. However, there is no way that we can verify your compliance other than to place you on your honor to operate within the limits of the standard rules for each match.
Participation We invite any interested competitor who has access to a range and a proper firearm. If you have an air pistol or rifle of any sort, please get involved and encourage a youngster or newcomer to participate by loaning your firearm to that young person or newcomer. We’re enclosing a sign-up form, which we ask you to fill out and submit with the appropriate fees. Juniors (age 18 and under) compete for half the adult fees.
Team Match Two-man team scores will be determined based on individual scores. In other words, the team match will not be fired separately. Teams will be classified master/expert or sharpshooter/marksman depending on the combination of individual classifications.
Awards Awards will be given for each monthly match and the final aggregate for individuals and teams and for the Lucky 16 Finals competition. Awards will be presented at the end of the competition.

ELIGIBLITY: A competitor (individual or team) may enter more than one Open 3-Position Sectional tournament in 2011. However, the individual MUST declare before firing if the sectional being fired is for score only or for the National Championship. Competitors may enter types of Sectionals if eligibility limitations permit. Competitors entering for “Score Only” are NOT eligible for awards in the local sectional or the National Championship.
A foreign Competitor is eligible to participate on the Sectional or National level (Rule 2.1.1), however, only U S citizens may win First, Second and Third Place National Individual and Team Championship awards.
A TEAM will consist of four (4) firing members representing a club affiliated with NRA (Rule 2.11 or 2.11.1), a Regular Service unit, National Guard, or Reserves (Rule 2.13). A team composed of shooters who are not all in the same category is a mixed team. Mixed teams in Sectionals or the National Championship may fire for open awards only. Pick up teams (Rule 2.10) will not be allowed to participate. Since team matches are unfired (paper team match), All teams MUST be named and entered BEFORE any member of the team begins individual firing. Alternates must also be named before firing and used to subsititute only for someone who has not yet fired. Team members must fire their scores at the same sectional and location.
CATEGORIES: In Match 4 of the Sectionals, separate class awards will be given by the NRA in each of two categories – Civilian and Service (subject to the conditions of the Sectional Award Schedule). NRA rules governing categories are as follows: Service (2.5, 2.6, & 2.7) All others will compete as Civilian (2.2) The same rules also apply to the Nationals.
CLASSIFICATION: The NRA Classification System will be used and competitors shall be prepared to exhibit a classification card or Temporary Score Record Book. Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master Class if they do not have an assigned classification (Rule 19.6). Teams will classified according to rule 19.12.
SOUVENIR PINS: A pin will be furnished by NRA to each competitor.
CHALLENGES: The challenge fee will be $1.00 per bullseye. See NRA Rule 16.1 for correct procedure.

FIRING PROCEEDURES: Each match will be fired in two stages (two targets each) with a time limit of half the time limit for the entire match for each stage (Match 1, 20 minutes; Match 2, 40 minutes; and Match 3, 30 minutes. A 3 minute target change time will be allow between stages.
A Five (5) break followed by a 3 minute preparation time will be allow between each match
CLASSES AND CATEGORIES:
1. If there is less than 5 entries in a category within a class, they will be combined with the other categories within the same class.
2. If there is less than 5 entries in a class, after combining categories, no awards will be provided in that class and all the competitors in the lower class will be moved to their respective category in the next higher class.

The Winter 2011-2012 Air Gun Postal League Match
Match Schedule We will offer six monthly matches during the months of November through April. Upon receiving your registration, we will mail your match targets.
Targets should be returned to Rick & Connie Jorgenson, 4931 81st Ave. NE,
Devils Lake, ND 58301-9634 by the last day of each month for which they are shot. Please initial the back of each target to be returned for scoring. You may return them earlier, if you so desire.
Course of Fire NRA Air Rifle & Pistol rules apply, and all firing is to be done from the standing position at targets positioned 33 feet distant from the shooter.
The rifle competitors will fire one shot per bullseye at the 10-bull rifle target, and the pistol competitors will shoot 5 shots per target at the pistol target.
We will continue to allow each competitor to operate on an honor system. We ask that you be particular in that you comply with the time limits and position requirements. However, there is no way that we can verify your compliance other than to place you on your honor to operate within the limits of the standard rules for each match.
Participation We invite any interested competitor who has access to a range and a proper firearm. If you have an air pistol or rifle of any sort, please get involved and encourage a youngster or newcomer to participate by loaning your firearm to that young person or newcomer. We’re enclosing a sign-up form, which we ask you to fill out and submit with the appropriate fees. Juniors (age 18 and under) compete for half the adult fees.
Team Match Two-man team scores will be determined based on individual scores. In other words, the team match will not be fired separately. Teams will be classified master/expert or sharpshooter/marksman depending on the combination of individual classifications.
Awards Awards will be given for each monthly match and the final aggregate for individuals and teams and for the Lucky 16 Finals competition. Awards will be presented at the end of the competition.
